We’re thrilled to announce the successful comple

We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of our weeklong, countrywide training program thanks to the strategic alliance with @belizemoecst , @el_bid - Japan Special Fund, @porticusglobal , @codeorg , @fifafoundation , @footballfederationofbelize , @501academy , @trust4americas , and @universityofbelize .
This transformative initiative, led by 501Academy (MoECST’s Science & Technology Unit), aims to cultivate creativity, problem-solving, and digital literacy in primary school teachers across Belize.
Over the course of the training, we equipped over 250+ teachers with the Code.org methodology, providing them with 20+ hours of coding fundamentals. This will allow them to implement code.org curriculum and spark a passion for STEAM subjects in their classrooms.
Our goal is to expand technological and STEAM skills, promote gender balance, and establish a sustainable coaching system within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology - all to develop the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers in Belize.

Nurturing Digital Female Coders: #LeadLikeAGirl Coding Camp Concludes in Orange Walk Central 👩🏻‍💻
The Honorable Prime Minister John Briceño (Orange Walk Central Constituency Office) in partnership with 501Academy, recently celebrated the successful completion of its #LeadLikeAGirl Coding Camp at Orange Walk Technical High School and San Estevan Community Library. This education program provided young female coders the opportunity to master the fundamentals skills of coding through the code.org curriculum. 💻
The official certificate ceremony held on August 2nd, is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and resiliency of these remarkable young women. They have now gained invaluable skills and confidence to navigate the digital landscape. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Minister John Briceño and his OWC team for their unwavering support and commitment to the #LeadLikeAGirl campaign. Their pledge to #EXPOSE girls to ICT from their community by <organizing community events on ICT> is commendable.💜
Our sincere appreciation also goes to the camp’s Facilitator, Mr. Edvin Orellana, whose expertise and passion for teaching have been instrumental in the success of this coding camp. We commend his efforts in delivering a high-quality experience and empowering the next generation of female coders. ⭐️
