Celebrating the Empowerment of Young Female Coders: The #LeadLikeAGirl Coding Camps Concludes in San Ignacio and Bullet Tree Falls Village👩🏻‍💻
The 501Academy, in partnership with the Cayo North Constituency Office- Honorable Minister Michel Chebat, recently concluded its Summer #LeadLikeAGirl Coding Camp with a certificate ceremony held on July 18th in San Ignacio. This event celebrated the remarkable achievements of the young female coders who dedicated their time and effort to mastering the fundamentals of coding through the code.org curriculum. 💻
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Minister Chebat and his team at the Cayo North Constituency Office for their unwavering support by hosting this transformative coding camp in both San Ignacio and Bullet Tree Falls Village simultaneously. By fulfilling their #LeadLikeAGirl Pledge to #EXPOSE girls to ICT from their community by <organizing community events on ICT>, they have played a pivotal role in empowering these young minds and opening up a world of possibilities in the field of computer science.👩🏻‍💻
A special thank you goes to our dedicated Facilitators, Mr. Amilcar Vasquez and Mr. Benjamin Cucul, whose expertise and passion for teaching have been instrumental in the success of this coding camp. Their commitment to fostering the girls’ love for coding and technology has been truly inspiring.💜
These newly certified female coders are poised to make a lasting impact, armed with the skills and confidence to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape. We commend their dedication and look forward to witnessing their continued growth and success as they embark on their coding journeys.⭐️
