Poustinia

Poustinia Earth Art Park, a former cattle ranch with an area of 270 acres, is situated 2 miles off Benque Viejo del Carmen, Cayo District, Belize, on the Mollejon Road. Benque Viejo is 8 miles from San Ignacio Town along the Western border with Guatemala. 

Poustinia is an environmental project in which art and nature interact. Some artists have used man-made factors in combination with natural elements to create what is known as sited sculptures. In other instances, there has been extensive manipulation of the environment, which has involved displacement of large amounts of rock and soil with practically no utilization of man-made elements. This has been categorized as purely land or earth art.
