The People’s Archives is a free access open source program within Access501 where Belizeans at home and abroad can participate in the digitization and preservation of Belize’s artifacts, ideas, and identity.

This is a first of its kind opportunity for people from different communities to gain access and consent to recording, and documenting their stories for research, curation and digitization. In this process the clear outcome is for the availability of a deeper, more transparent telling of the peoples’ journey in contemporary Belize and unlock the many ignored, forgotten and erased stories from our history.
